They should have had enough income for someone with my upbringing and values to make a go of it.
They were very skilled at paying others to perform every little task that is required to survive in the woods while they chose to spend every hour of their "PERSONAL TIME" eating tater tots, smoking dope and playing video games on their $50,000 dollars worth of "Gaming Equipment"
